Delivery and Returns

ORDER PROCESSING AND DELIVERY
Once an order is placed and payment confirmation has been received, the order will be processed, collected and shipped.

Cancellation of or changes to an order are acceptable provided it is made before the products are dispatched.

Any payments for orders which have been timeously cancelled will be refunded to the customer.

Emails will be sent to the customer confirming the status of the order together with shipping details as soon as it is dispatched.

An order will be shipped within 3 days after payment is received in full, provided that all stock is available. Any deviation from this will be communicated to the customer by email / WhatsApp message.

Delivery usually takes 3-5 working days but is dependent on the performance of the courier company. There is also an option for Bernina Gardenroute / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio customers to collect their orders from the shop.

Currently The Courier Guy is the preferred service provider for deliveries in South Africa. The Courier Guy fees will be applicable and will be added to every order. A tracking number will be sent to the customer via email / WhatsApp for tracking on The Courier Guy’s website.

Bernina Gardenroute / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio will make delivery to a customer’s address as stated on the order or to the address listed when an account was created and the address have been updated. The customer is responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive a delivery and to provide Bernina Gardenroute / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio with appropriate delivery instructions.

Bernina Gardenroute / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio reserves the right to refuse or to accept orders from any customer where circumstances may prevent timeous deliveries.

HOW TO ORDER

Browse – Browse our wide product range. Add your desired products to your cart.
Place order – Fill in all of your necessary details and submit your order.
Final invoice – We’ll then verify stock levels and send you a finalised invoice along with payment instructions. The final invoice could vary slightly from your order as stock levels and/or delivery charges may have changed.
Delivery – Once payment has been made, your order will be packed and sent out for delivery.
Collection option –
Goods can be collected from our stores at:
Bernina Mossel Bay, 44b Marsh Street, Mossel Bay CBD
or
Bernina George, Cathedral Square, cnr York- and Cathedral Street, George
(Please allow 3 days from date of order, to collect).
Orders placed with Bernina / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio via our website will be sent with the Courier Guy. Order details and costs and courier costs will be finalised after your goods have been processed. For special orders of big items or bulky items, additional postage could apply e.g for batting/wadding.

If you require extra insurance on your parcel, this will have to be at your cost.

WE DO NOT CURRENTLY SHIP OUTSIDE SOUTH AFRICA or overseas. We accept orders from WITHIN South Africa only.

RETURNS
Bernina Gardenroute / The Painted Poppy Quilt Studio endeavours to only sell products of outstanding quality. If it happens that a customer receives a product that is defective, we will gladly exchange the item or refund the customer at their request (within 14 days of purchase).

This returns policy is only applicable to defect products and does not apply to fabric cut to customer’s requirement and/or non-defective merchandise.
